VARIOUS — Time For Vinyl Vol. 1

Various – Time For Vinyl Vol. 1 opens the TIME FOR VINYL series with a 12-inch vinyl that gathers classic tech house, Italo house and urban dance cuts into a single, dancefloor-ready statement. Identified by catalogue number TIME1435LP, the record arrives on crystal vinyl and showcases six tracks that span the late-90s to early-00s club sound, offering DJs a concise toolkit for both peak-time and deeper moments. Within the TIME FOR VINYL catalogue this release sits alongside a cluster of companion volumes issued in 2026. Vol. 2 (TIME1440LP), Vol. 4 (TIME1450LP) and Vol. 5 (TIME1455LP) share the same release day, while Vol. 9 (TIME1475LP) appears on the same date as well, and later installments such as Vol. 6 (TIME1460LP), Vol. 7 (TIME1465LP), Vol. 8 (TIME1470LP) and Vol. 10 (TIME1480LP) follow throughout the year. The series therefore functions as a curated snapshot of the label’s focus on dancefloor classics. Side A begins with “U.S.U.R.A. – Open Your Mind (Classic Mix)”, a track whose title suggests an invitation to the listener, delivering a rhythmic foundation that sits comfortably at the centre of the set. It is followed by “Silvia Coleman – All Around The World (U.S.U.R.A. Mix)”, which continues the momentum with a melodic sweep that bridges the opening groove to the next cut. Closing side A, “Black Legend – You See The Trouble With Me (We’ll Be In Trouble Extended Mix)”, adds a slightly darker tonal shift, creating a subtle tension that prepares the listener for the B-side. Side B opens with “DJ Dado Vs Michelle Weeks – Give Me Love (Antiqua Club Mix)”, a track that re-introduces a smoother vibe, suitable for transitioning from the more driving A-side energy. “Paps ’n’ Skar – Turn Around (Original Extended Mix)” follows, offering a rhythmic pivot that can sustain a groove in the middle of a set. The record closes with “Prezioso Feat. Marvin – Voglio Vederti Danzare (Extended Version)”, a bright, dance-oriented piece that caps the compilation with a feel-good resolution. In the context of the series, Vol. 1 serves as an entry point that encapsulates the label’s dedication to re-presenting pivotal dance tracks from the tech house and Italo house canon. The selection highlights the enduring appeal of these cuts, reinforcing their relevance for contemporary club programming and for collectors seeking a physical link to that era. For DJs, the record offers a versatile set of six tracks that can be mixed in a variety of ways: the opening trio on side A works well for building energy, while the B-side provides smoother, more melodic moments that can be used for breakdowns or to sustain momentum. The sequencing supports both linear DJ sets and more eclectic, back-to-back mixing approaches. The release is pressed as a 12-inch vinyl, featuring the crystal vinyl finish noted by the label. This format delivers the tactile experience prized by vinyl enthusiasts while preserving the groove quality essential for club playback.
