About Release
Various – The Transatlantic EP opens a new chapter for Loop Progression’s jungle imprint, catalogued as LOOP002 and pressed on 12-inch vinyl. The record arrives at the end of October 2026, delivering a dub-infused trek through the genre’s rhythmic core. With four collaborative cuts, the EP stitches together the label’s growing focus on deep, amen-laden bass and intricate drumwork.
Within Loop Progression’s short but active catalogue, The Transatlantic EP follows The NPH EP (LOOP001, 2025) and precedes the earlier-released LOOP003 – Echoes of The Past EP (2026). These neighbouring releases share a commitment to forward-thinking jungle, positioning the new EP as a continuation of the label’s exploratory dub-wise aesthetic.
Side A launches with “Route1”, a joint effort by Duburban and Peeb that stretches eight minutes of militant, chopped rhythms drenched in dub ambience. The track’s relentless edit work creates a kinetic drive suited for peak-time momentum. The second A-side, “Prophet”, pairs Krugah with Peeb and deepens the dub and roots influence, offering a more spacious, meditative groove that contrasts with the opening intensity while retaining the label’s signature amen swing.
Flipping over, “Chalice Dub” sees Champa B join forces with label head Pixl, delivering a dose of amen-centric science and sub-bass pressure. The B-side cut leans heavily into the low-end, providing a dark, resonant backdrop ideal for late-night sets. The record closes with “Telepathy”, another Duburban collaboration, this time with Krugah. Old-school pads mingle with hectic drum-funk patterns, delivering a frantic yet melodic finale that ties together the EP’s dub and jungle threads.
The Transatlantic EP sits comfortably within the emerging Loop Progression narrative, reinforcing the label’s penchant for collaborative, dub-driven jungle. By pairing established figures like Duburban and emerging voices such as Krugah, the release underscores a community-oriented approach that mirrors the label’s prior outings.
For DJs, the EP offers a versatile toolkit: “Route1” supplies an extended, high-energy opener for building tension; “Prophet” works as a transitional, more atmospheric piece; “Chalice Dub” provides a deep, bass-heavy moment for darker passages; and “Telepathy” delivers a frantic climax suitable for peak moments or closing a set. Collectors will appreciate the cohesive yet varied collaborations and the EP’s place within Loop Progression’s evolving jungle catalogue.
The record is issued as a 12-inch vinyl, featuring four tracks that span the label’s dub-centric jungle aesthetic.
