2XM — Dulcet EP

2Xm – Dulcet EP arrives on SlothBoogie Jamz as catalogue SBJAMZ004, a 12-inch vinyl that blends deep house, electro, vocal and garage influences into a sun-kissed, emotive statement. The four-track record showcases a percussive depth and synth-laden grooves, anchored by a strong vocal cameo from rising talent Neil Macleod. Within the SlothBoogie Jamz roster, Dulcet EP follows the earlier release of “Spliff Jamz Vol.1” (SBJAMZ008) slated for 2021, positioning the record as a contemporary entry that continues the label’s focus on groove-driven, dancefloor-ready material. The EP’s placement in the catalogue underscores the label’s commitment to fresh, genre-blending productions. Side A opens with “Dancing Styles”, a track that captures the kinetic energy of 2-step garage while maintaining a deep house pulse, making it a versatile choice for both warm-up and peak moments. Its companion, “Doing It”, shifts toward a more percussive house feel, offering a rhythmic drive that complements the preceding cut and prepares the listener for the B-side’s vocal focus. The B-side begins with “Gentle (Feat. Neil Macleod)”, where Macleod’s vocal delivery adds an emotive layer to the synth-rich backdrop, bridging the house and garage aesthetics into a compelling groove. Closing the EP, “Sorry That You Love Me” continues the vocal narrative while weaving in electronic textures that reinforce the record’s overall synth-laden character. Dulcet EP marks a notable moment for 2Xm, whose evolving signature sound is evident across the four cuts, balancing deep percussive elements with melodic synth work. Within the broader context of SlothBoogie Jamz, the release contributes to the label’s ongoing exploration of hybrid dance music forms that sit comfortably at the intersection of house, electro and garage. For DJs, the EP offers a compact yet diverse toolkit: “Dancing Styles” and “Doing It” provide sturdy, rhythmic foundations suitable for mixing into deep house sets, while the vocal-driven B-side tracks deliver emotive peaks that can lift a late-night groove. Collectors will appreciate the cohesive production and the way each track references the label’s aesthetic while standing out as distinct statements. The record is pressed as a 12-inch vinyl, matching the format expectations of deep-house and garage enthusiasts who favor analog warmth and tactile engagement. 2Xm – Dulcet EP, SlothBoogie Jamz, catalogue SBJAMZ004, 12-inch vinyl, four tracks.
