British producer Ed Davenport lands on Studio Barnhus with four fresh ones built for long nights and well-tuned sound systems. “Carry On” gets things rolling in suitably hazy fashion, a dopey tech-house shuffle circling around a soft, mysterious piano figure and trancetastic vocals by Tee Amara. “Green Wave” keeps the bounce going with warm chords and an easy spring in its step, before “Mezzh” puts the bass right up front and heads straight for the big room. “Lift (Dub)” closes the record by nudging things into more acidic territory, never losing the loose, playable feel running through the EP.
