How Selected Wax collects, uses and protects your personal data.

Who we are
Selected Wax is operated by an EU-registered limited liability company (LLC). We act as the data controller for the personal data we collect through this website within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What data we collect
We collect the information needed to operate the shop and fulfil orders: account details (email, optional display name), shipping and billing address, order history, payment confirmations (we do not store card numbers), wishlist and follow activity, and basic device data (IP address, user agent, referrer) through server logs and first-party analytics cookies.
How we use it
Personal data is processed to complete purchases, prevent fraud, send order updates, manage accounts, respond to support requests, and — only with your consent — send marketing emails. Consent can be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to the privacy contact below.
Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)
Our legal bases are contract performance (orders, accounts, shipping), legitimate interest (fraud prevention, security logs), consent (marketing, non-essential cookies) and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
Third-party processors
We share data only with processors that help us run the shop: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), Packlink (shipping labels and tracking) and our transactional email provider. Each processor is bound by a data processing agreement and suitable transfer safeguards where data leaves the EU / EEA.
Retention
Account and order records are kept for as long as legally required for tax purposes (typically 10 years in the EU). Marketing consents are kept until you withdraw them. Server logs are rotated within 30 days unless required for an active security investigation.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights email privacy@selectedwax.com. We respond within 30 days.
