VENETIA — Mio Diaries - Part I LP

Venetia – Mio Diaries - Part I LP opens a new chapter for the freshly minted Mio Musik, catalogued as MIO001 and pressed on 12-inch vinyl. The record lands at the intersection of deep house and electro, offering a melodic, forward-looking take on rave-derived textures. Its four cuts are presented as intimate diary entries, each aiming to translate the feelings that guided Venetia through a personal journey. Although Mio Musik’s catalogue is still in its infancy, the label’s ethos of eight years of experimental electronic work is evident in this debut. The release follows Venetia’s recent outings on Maai Records and Binarysound, where “The Face Of The Deep” (MAAI011, 2026) and “Untitled” (BS-LTD06, 2025) demonstrated a consistent affinity for deep, groove-centric production. Mio Diaries continues that trajectory while widening the emotional palette. Side A launches with “Le Banquet”, a track that the label describes as raw and driving. Its placement sets a kinetic tone, propelling the listener forward with a pulse that feels suited to the peak of a set. The second A-side cut, “The Pressure”, sustains that momentum, offering a complementary intensity that keeps the energy high while hinting at the more reflective mood to come. Flipping to side B, “Life” introduces a shift toward emotional depth. The description highlights nostalgia and melancholy, suggesting a more contemplative groove that can serve as a bridge between peak moments and a cooler, introspective phase of a DJ’s narrative. The final cut, “Another Day Another Night”, deepens this sentiment, delivering a powerful, emotive closure that resonates with the lingering afterglow of a set’s climax. Within Venetia’s short but potent discography, Mio Diaries – Part I LP stands as a logical extension of the artist’s exploration of deep house’s soulful undercurrents and electro’s forward momentum. The record’s duality—raw vigor on the A side and wistful resonance on the B side—mirrors the broader current in underground electronic music, where producers balance dancefloor drive with personal storytelling. For DJs, the record offers clear utility: “Le Banquet” and “The Pressure” function as high-energy openers or peak-time tools, while “Life” and “Another Day Another Night” provide mood-shaping material for late-night transitions or closing moments. Collectors will appreciate the cohesive narrative arc across the four tracks and the tangible link to Venetia’s evolving output. The release arrives as a 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of the artist’s recent statements on Maai Records and Binarysound. Its physical presence reinforces the tactile experience that deep house and electro aficionados often seek. Venetia – Mio Diaries - Part I LP, Mio Musik, catalog MIO001, 12-inch vinyl, four tracks.
