About Release

Various – 12 INCH LOVERS 13 The 12 INCH LOVERS series marks its 15-year anniversary with this double 12-inch vinyl from 541 Label (cat. 5411209). A sampler of tech house and trance-house, the release captures the vibe of the label’s long-running Belgian vinyl-only events, offering a blend of recognised club anthems and hard-to-find cuts that have finally received a vinyl debut. Within the 541 Label catalogue, 12 INCH LOVERS 13 arrives alongside its sibling Sampler 14 (cat. 5411210), both issued on the same day. It follows a string of earlier 12 INCH LOVERS editions – numbers 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 – and the AMNESIA 50 YEARS box set (cat. 5411207) that preceded it earlier in 2026. The series has become a benchmark for the label’s curatorial approach, pairing dancefloor favourites with deeper discoveries that reflect the energy of the live events. Side A opens with Kollektiv Turmstrasse’s “Sorry I Am Late”. Known from Solomun’s Boiler Room set in Tulum, the track’s unmistakable bassline establishes a confident mood that immediately commands attention. It is followed by Skape D’Jear’s “Everything In You (Dedicated Clubba Mix)”, a lesser-known house gem that makes its first appearance on vinyl, extending the opening momentum with a smooth, club-ready flow. Side B shifts to a more melodic vein. “Take My Hand” by Karmon feat. Terry Shand delivers a vocal-centric house atmosphere, its rarity on vinyl adding a collectible edge. The side then lifts energy with Tocadisco’s “Morumbi”, a driving percussion-heavy cut that has become a staple in Belgian clubs, providing a peak moment for DJs seeking a recognizable yet fresh highlight. Side C continues the narrative with Fred Again… × The Blessed Madonna’s “Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing)”. The track, a tribute to the longing for shared dance moments, resonates with the post-pandemic return to the floor and offers a poignant, emotive centrepiece. Kotai’s “Sucker DJ (Marcin “Highfish” Kozlowski Remix)” follows, presenting a distinctive club classic that retains its relevance through a contemporary reinterpretation. The side closes with Daddy’s Groove & Little Nancy’s “It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay”, a groovy reworking of a Whitney Houston vocal that finally lands on vinyl, adding a nostalgic twist to the set. Side D brings the Ibiza spirit to the sampler. “Guitarra G (Martijn ten Velden Remix)” by G Club presents Banda Sonora showcases recognisable guitar lines and a gradual build, making it a track suited for deep, immersive moments on the dancefloor. The record concludes with Slam feat. Tyrone Palmer’s “Lifetimes”. Palmer’s distinctive voice paired with the Scottish duo’s production creates a lasting emotional resonance, rounding off the compilation on a high note. The 12 INCH LOVERS series has consistently reflected the label’s dedication to vinyl culture, and this thirteenth installment reinforces that ethos. By juxtaposing well-known club anthems with rare cuts and first-time vinyl releases, it offers both a snapshot of contemporary underground dance music and a functional toolkit for DJs. The selection bridges the familiar and the fresh, allowing seamless integration into varied set contexts—from peak-time energy bursts to more introspective, late-night passages. For DJs, the record provides immediate utility: “Sorry I Am Late” and “Morumbi” serve as reliable peak-time triggers, while “Marea (We’ve Lost Dancing)” and “Guitarra G (Martijn ten Velden Remix)” supply emotive depth for more nuanced moments. Collectors will appreciate the inclusion of tracks like “Everything In You (Dedicated Clubba Mix)” and “It’s Not Right, But It’s Okay”, which have been elusive in physical form until now, enhancing the release’s archival value. The product is presented as a 2 × 12-inch vinyl set, matching the format of previous samplers in the series. The pressing follows the label’s established standards, delivering full-length versions of each track across the four sides.
