TROY VLADISLAVOVICH — Focus EP

Troy Vladislavovich – Focus EP opens Langeron Records’ catalogue with LANGERON000, a 12-inch vinyl that straddles electro, techno and house while promising both club impact and emotional depth. The record’s three cuts are linked by a narrative of intensity, nostalgia and lyrical electro, each crafted to engage the dancefloor and the listener alike. While Langeron Records’ broader output remains to be documented, the EP arrives after Troy Vladislavovich’s “Split EP 3” on Partisan (PTN015C, 2025), showing a continued interest in concise, concept-driven releases that balance weighty bass with melodic nuance. Side A opens with “Focus”, a peak-time track built around a heavy bassline, hypnotic vocal snippets and restless synth movement. Its driving energy makes it a natural high-point for the latter part of a set, ready to lift the crowd into a focused groove. On the flip, “Antwort” provides a warm, nostalgic groove that rolls playfully, offering a smoother, more melodic contrast that can bridge between peak moments and a deeper, more reflective set segment. Closing the record, “Scarface” turns the mood toward an electro-lyrical expression, injecting emotion and feeling that can serve as a powerful set-ending statement or a moment of introspection on the dancefloor. The EP reflects Vladislavovich’s penchant for blending club-ready intensity with storytelling, a thread also evident on the earlier “Split EP 3”. Within the emerging Langeron Records identity, “Focus EP” stakes a claim for music that is both kinetic and intimate, aligning with contemporary underground trends that favor emotive techno and electro-infused house. For DJs, the three tracks offer distinct utilities: “Focus” as a peak-time driver, “Antwort” as a warm, rolling groove for transitional phases, and “Scarface” as a closing or mood-shaping piece. Collectors will appreciate the limited run of 110 copies, which underscores the release’s boutique nature and potential future relevance in niche vinyl libraries. The record is pressed as a 12-inch vinyl, limited to 110 copies, embodying the tactile appeal of analog formats while delivering the nuanced production described by the label.
