KASRA V — Vsion06

Kasra V – VSION06 opens a quiet chapter in the V-Sion catalogue, catalogued as VSION06 and issued as a 12-inch vinyl. The Iranian-born, London-based producer delivers a three-track EP of remixes that have long circulated on USBs and in DJ sets, now finally pressed for the first time. Anchored in tech house and techno house, the record gathers a wide spectrum of club influences, from New York house swing to the melodic melancholy of early ’80s synth pop, and even the rave-driven propulsion of early ’90s techno. Within the V-Sion roster, VSION06 follows the earlier releases VSION05 by Wigs and VSION04 by DJ Teeth, both from 2026, and sits after the label’s 2025 VSION03 by Kasra V and the 2024 VSION02. This placement underscores a steady output from the label, with Kasra V contributing a consistent thread through the series. The EP also builds on Kasra V’s own recent discography, which includes the 2026 Edits Vol.1 on KV Edits, the 2025 VSION03 and 2024 VSION02 on V-Sion, and the 2023 Flood The Club on Shaytoon Records. Side A opens with “1: Circus Operandi – Rosetta (Kasra V Remix)”. The remix leans into a house-centric groove, its pulse echoing the rhythmic drive of classic New York club tracks while retaining a modern tech house sheen. The arrangement unfolds with a patient build, allowing the groove to settle before a subtle melodic line emerges, giving DJs a flexible point for mixing or extending a set’s momentum. The second cut, “2: Terraflow – Pick Up The Slack (Kasra V Remix)”, continues the house orientation but introduces a slightly more melodic focus. The track balances a steady, physical beat with a lingering synth motif that hints at the emotive textures of Depeche Mode, offering a warm, dancefloor-ready vibe that can sit comfortably after a deeper groove or serve as a bridge toward more driving moments. Closing the side, “3: Miro-Benji and Stuster – Engel (Kasra V Remix)” pivots toward techno and trance territory. Here the rhythm tightens, the tempo nudges forward, and a hypnotic, soaring line recalls the euphoric propulsion of Orbital’s early rave anthems. The remix’s structure provides ample space for late-night peaks, making it a strong candidate for the climax of a set or a transition into a more intense techno segment. Collectively, the three remixes trace a broad arc of influences while maintaining a cohesive club-oriented identity. The EP demonstrates Kasra V’s capacity to reinterpret tracks across a spectrum of styles without sacrificing the physicality required for the dancefloor. Within the artist’s catalogue, VSION06 stands as a testament to a period of prolific remix work that has previously been confined to private circulation, now crystallised in vinyl form. For DJs, the record offers distinct entry points: the first two tracks supply versatile house foundations suitable for early-night grooves, while the final remix delivers a darker, more kinetic energy for peak-time moments. Collectors will appreciate the EP’s narrative of unreleased material finally receiving a proper release, adding depth to Kasra V’s V-Sion output and completing a series of yearly contributions to the label. The record is presented as a single 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of Kasra V’s earlier V-Sion releases. Its pressing adheres to the label’s standard specifications, providing a reliable medium for both club play and home listening.
