JAN KETEL — Love EP (incl. Siggatunez & Quadrakey Remixes)

Berlin-based Jan Ketel returns to Tooman Records with his Love EP. Two house tracks in which he lets his musical influences run free: soul, R&B and disco blend seamlessly into a house framework. While "København with Leene" promises lightness and feel-good vibes, with vocals playfully dancing around piano chords and a massive bassline, "Love Yaa" starts off deeper, gradually building momentum before bursting into funk. The EP is rounded off with two remixes. Siggatunez keeps most of the harmonic and melodic elements of "København with Leene" and sets a counterpart to its uplifting, empowering vibe. His 6AM Remix is stripped down to an energetic dub version, made for late-night hours and basement dance floors: recognizable, yet distinct in sound and feel. Quadrakey's remix of "Love Yaa" is all about the groove. The vocals move to the front, and the deep house rhythm underneath is built to carry them: steady, rolling and made for the floor. House music with a deep passion.
