HOUSEHEADZ00 — Househeadz00 Series: Black

HouseHeadz00 – HouseHeadz00 Series: Black The latest entry from HouseHeadz arrives as HH002, a 12-inch vinyl that continues the label’s deep-house and tech-house focus. Titled the Black Edition, this EP offers four original mixes that weave classic house vitality with more introspective textures, presenting a compact yet varied journey for the discerning listener. Within the HouseHeadz catalogue, the Black Edition follows the forthcoming Series: Purple (HH004, slated for 2025) and precedes the upcoming Various Headz Vol.001 (HH005, due 2026). This placement underscores the label’s commitment to a series-based approach, each release exploring a different tonal hue while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. Side A opens with “Recuerdo (Original Mix)”. The track channels the bright energy of early house, its groove bright and uplifting, establishing a forward-moving momentum that primes the listener for the deeper terrain ahead. Directly after, “Desire (Original Mix)” shifts the mood, delving into a more hypnotic beat structure and richer textures that invite a sustained, immersive focus on the dancefloor. Flipping to side B, “Dream (Original Mix)” deepens the atmosphere, wrapping the listener in a layered, almost reverie-like soundscape. Its intricate construction sustains a contemplative vibe while retaining the rhythmic drive essential to the EP’s flow. The record closes with “Ever (Original Mix)”, a track that introduces a soulful element through smooth vocal phrasing and emotive harmonies, providing a warm, heartfelt resolution to the set. In the context of HouseHeadz00’s output, this EP builds on the sonic palette hinted at in the later Series: Purple, suggesting a continued exploration of colour-coded concepts that pair visual themes with distinct musical moods. The Black Edition’s blend of classic house exuberance, tech-house depth, and soulful expression situates it firmly within contemporary underground trends that favour both dancefloor potency and emotive nuance. For DJs, the record offers a versatile toolkit. “Recuerdo” works as an opener or a peak-time lift, its vibrant groove cutting through warm club atmospheres. “Desire” serves as a bridge, ideal for transitioning into more progressive moments thanks to its hypnotic drive. “Dream” fits late-night or back-to-back slots, its layered ambience supporting a more introspective set. Finally, “Ever” provides a melodic, vocal-rich close that can either end a set on a high note or be re-mixed into a more uplifting climax. The release is pressed as a standard 12-inch vinyl, delivering the analog warmth that deep-house enthusiasts prize. Its format supports the full dynamic range of the four tracks, ensuring that each groove translates the label’s nuanced production choices onto the needle.
