FORT ROMEAU — Be With U

Fort Romeau – Be With U opens the Romantic Gestures RGV001 12-inch vinyl with a statement of deep, hypnotic house that feels both polished and intimate. The veteran producer, whose recent output has been marked by a meticulous refinement of groove, delivers an EP that balances subtle swing with a clear, crystalline production aesthetic. Pressed on 180-gram black vinyl, the record showcases the label’s commitment to high-quality sound. While Romantic Gestures does not disclose a broader catalogue context, the release sits comfortably alongside Fort Romeau’s recent 12-inch outings on Rekids, Rawax Records and Permanent Vacation, all issued earlier in 2026. Those records—Lovin’ U LP, Sunlight EP, Come Closer and El Fantasma / El Espíritu—have each explored different facets of the artist’s deep-house vocabulary, and Be With U continues that trajectory by tightening the focus on a sleek, immersive atmosphere. Side A opens with “Every Man Has Your Voice”, a track that unfolds with a measured, rolling rhythm that invites gradual layering in a set. Its title suggests a vocal presence, yet the music remains instrumental, allowing the groove to speak for itself and to mesh smoothly with the surrounding cuts. The second cut on the side, “Melody Dub”, picks up the momentum, offering a slightly more spacious arrangement that feels like a natural extension of the first track’s hypnotic pulse. The dub treatment adds a subtle echoing quality, giving DJs a smooth bridge for mixing into deeper moments of a set. Flipping to side B, the title track “Be With U” arrives as the centerpiece. Its structure is built around a refined house groove that feels both timeless and contemporary, making it suitable for late-night peaks or a warm-up atmosphere. The track’s polished sheen and precise mastering give it a clean presence on the dancefloor, while its melodic undercurrent provides an emotional lift that can be used to transition between more driving selections. Within Fort Romeau’s 2026 output, Be With U stands as a concise distillation of the artist’s recent explorations of minimal and tech-house textures. The EP’s focus on immaculate production and subtle dynamic shifts aligns it with the aesthetic established on Lovin’ U LP and the Sunlight EP, while offering a fresh, more restrained mood that will resonate with collectors seeking a refined slice of deep house. For DJs, the record offers three tracks that can be layered and mixed with precision. “Every Man Has Your Voice” works well as an opening or a warm-up, “Melody Dub” provides a seamless transition point with its spacious feel, and “Be With U” serves as a versatile anchor for peak-time moments or a melodic climax. The 12-inch format ensures ample groove depth, allowing the nuanced low end and crisp highs to translate effectively on club-grade decks. The release arrives as a 12-inch 180-gram black vinyl, delivering the weight and stability prized by audiophiles and club DJs alike. The heavyweight pressing contributes to a low-noise surface, enhancing the record’s clean, detailed soundstage.
