FLABAIRE — Entre Deux EP

Flabaire – Entre Deux EP arrives on Cyphon Recordings as catalogue CYPHN04R, a 12-inch vinyl that continues the label’s deep-house, electro, minimal and tech-house trajectory. The Parisian producer, co-owner of D.KO, makes his fourth appearance for Cyphon with a four-track set that blends emotive synth work and precise rhythmic detail, delivering a mood-rich statement for late-night sets. Cyphon’s recent output this year includes Obergman’s Periodic Motion EP (CYPHN23) and Ste Roberts’ Ey Aye EP (CYPHN22), both released earlier in 2026, while the label’s 2025 catalogue featured releases such as Synaptic Voyager’s High Rise EP (CYPHN20) and Berwick’s Powerflip (CYPHN19). Entre Deux EP follows these releases, adding Flabaire’s signature blend of electro ambience and house groove to the label’s evolving palette. Side A opens with “In Between”, a track that layers an electro-driven beat beneath lush, rising synth lines, creating a hazy atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and forward-looking. The composition builds tension with swelling pads before a squelchy 303-style element surfaces, setting a tone that invites DJs to transition from deeper moments into a more kinetic groove. The second cut, “No Minding”, shifts toward a softer, deep-house realm; a warm bass bounce and shuffling percussion provide a relaxed pulse, while subtle vocal fragments and bright keys add a serene texture that works well as a bridge in a set. On the flip side, “Clik Plok” showcases Flabaire’s command of bass, pairing a gliding pad foundation with tight bleeps and an understated synth solo that unfolds gradually, offering a rhythmic focus suitable for peak-time momentum or a controlled build. The EP closes with “FBG”, an atmospheric piece built on a balmy, syncopated groove; twinkling synth melodies drift over dusty breakbeats and muted vocal stutters, delivering a final, reflective mood that can serve as a cool-down moment or a lyrical outro. Within Flabaire’s recent discography, Entre Deux EP follows a productive 2026 period that saw the CHANGE OF SCENERY EP on HOUSEWAX (HOUSEWAX040) and the Transnationality EP on Temas Records (TEM001). Earlier releases such as Layers (D.KO Records, DKOLP07, 2025) and At Last (Skylax Records, LAX-ES12, 2025) demonstrate a consistent exploration of electro-infused deep house, a trajectory that culminates in the emotive palette of this Cyphon offering. For DJs, the record offers a versatile toolkit: “In Between” can anchor a set’s opening with its cinematic rise, “No Minding” provides a smooth, melodic interlude, “Clik Plok” supplies a driving bass-centric moment for peak energy, and “FBG” offers a textured closing that eases the crowd back down. Collectors will appreciate the continuity of Flabaire’s sound across his recent vinyl releases and the EP’s placement among Cyphon’s 2025-2026 catalogue, marking a cohesive moment in the label’s deep-house and electro output. The release is pressed as a 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of the surrounding Cyphon entries and Flabaire’s own recent EPs. Its analog presentation preserves the nuanced synth work and rhythmic subtleties that define the record’s atmosphere.
