FAR&HIGH — Coda EP

Far&High – Coda EP opens the Unheard Music UNHEARD003 12-inch vinyl with a concise four-track tech house statement that feels tailor-made for peak-time momentum. The Italian producer’s imprint arrives on a label that has already issued the Rabbit Hole EP LP (UNHEARD001) and the Your Retreat EP (UNHEARD002) earlier this year, positioning the Coda EP as a fresh continuation of Unheard Music’s focus on forward-moving dancefloor chemistry. Within the label’s recent output, the Rabbit Hole EP LP showcased a broader palette of deep-groove explorations, while the Your Retreat EP leaned into melodic textures. Coda EP narrows the lens, delivering a tighter, rolling aesthetic that aligns with the label’s current emphasis on kinetic tech house energy. Side A begins with “Every (Original Mix)”. The opening cut establishes a steady pulse that immediately invites a DJ to lock into a driving groove, setting the tone for a set that aims at the height of the night. It flows directly into “Morning Sun (Original Mix)”, a track that maintains the rolling momentum while subtly shifting the tonal centre, offering a seamless transition that keeps the floor’s energy in motion. Side B opens with “Sans Vetements (Original Mix)”, a composition that sustains the record’s kinetic thrust, providing a solid platform for peak-time layering. The closing cut, “Control (Original Mix)”, brings Buba into the mix, adding a collaborative edge that rounds off the EP with a sense of resolved intensity, perfect for the final push of a set. In the context of Far&High’s output, Coda EP reinforces the producer’s reputation for crafting concise, club-ready tech house. While the catalogue does not list other releases from this artist on Unheard Music, the EP’s placement after the label’s earlier offerings suggests a deliberate continuation of the label’s current direction toward high-energy, dancefloor-focused releases. For DJs, the record offers four tightly edited tracks that can be mixed back-to-back without losing momentum, making it an ideal tool for building and sustaining peak-time intensity. Collectors will appreciate the focused sequencing and the collaboration with Buba on the final track, which adds a subtle variation to the otherwise uniform sonic palette. The release arrives as a 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of Unheard Music’s recent EPs and providing the tactile experience that tech house aficionados often seek for both performance and archiving.
