About Release
Elli Acula – New Day opens the FABRIC ORIGINALS FRO051LP 12-inch vinyl with a four-track techno EP that channels the Berlin-based DJ’s recent dancefloor experiences into a spectrum of darkness, euphoria and kinetic drive. The release arrives on 20 November 2026 and marks her first full solo EP on the label, showcasing a production style that moves instinctively between raw physical energy and moments of uplift.
Within the FABRIC ORIGINALS catalogue, New Day follows the earlier FRO050LP “CORE EP” by Bashkka and the 2026 releases by Jasmín (“Concrete Summer / Skeletal” and “It’s Girls Night / Long Hair”), as well as earlier outings from Palms Trax, DJ Nobu, Theo Kottis, Pangaea & Leonce and Daniel Avery. Positioned after these releases, Elli Acula’s EP adds a personal, emotive dimension to the label’s forward-looking techno narrative.
Side A opens with the title track “New Day”. The piece balances a sense of renewal with forward motion, pairing strength and a lighter, uplifting energy that feels like a sunrise after a long night. It sets the emotional tone for the record, moving from shadowed intensity toward a brighter groove. “Without You”, also on side A, introduces a driving acid line and hypnotic rhythm alongside emotive vocals, creating a juxtaposition of power and vulnerability that translates directly to the dancefloor.
Side B begins with “Right Now”. The track builds toward an expansive, emotional break that opens up the floor before stripping back to a raw, minimal, warehouse-driven drop, offering DJs a dynamic peak and a sudden return to stripped-back intensity. “The Rhythm” pushes the record into darker, more rigorous territory, drawing on techno’s heritage with stripped-back beats, atmospheric textures and shimmering metallic tones that feel both eerie and luminous. The EP closes with Chris Liebing’s remix of “Without You”, a reinterpretation that aligns with Liebing’s own output on Create Learn Realize (CLR147V, released the same day) and adds a complementary perspective to the original.
Elli Acula’s recent output includes the SPANDAU20 012 12-inch on her own SPANDAU20 imprint (catalogue SPND20012, 2026), reinforcing her role as both label head and producer. New Day therefore represents a new chapter, translating the feelings she gathered on tour into a concise, instinctive record. In the broader context of FABRIC ORIGINALS, the EP contributes a personal narrative to a catalogue that has been building momentum through releases from Bashkka, Jasmín and others, while maintaining the label’s commitment to forward-thinking techno.
For DJs, the record offers distinct tools: “New Day” works as an uplifting opener, “Without You” supplies a vocal-laden peak, “Right Now” provides a tension-building journey with a powerful drop, and “The Rhythm” delivers a darker, more driving close. The Chris Liebing remix adds an alternative angle for late-night sets, bridging the original’s emotive core with a more club-focused edge. Collectors will appreciate the cohesive sequencing and the way each track reflects a specific moment from the artist’s recent performances, making the EP a snapshot of contemporary techno sentiment.
The release is pressed as a 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of Elli Acula’s earlier SPANDAU20 012 outing. Its physical presentation aligns with the label’s standard approach, offering a straightforward, high-quality analogue experience.
