EGYPTIAN GREYHOUND — Aetheria EP

Egyptian Greyhound – Aetheria EP arrives on ALTERA CASINI as catalogue ALCA002, an exclusive vinyl release that delves into a hybrid tech-house terrain tinged with trance-like progressions. The EP’s four cuts trace an emotional arc, shifting from intimate introspection to expansive euphoria, all within a compact 12-inch format. Within the ALTERA CASINI catalogue, Aetheria follows the label’s earlier offering The Hidden Way Out EP (ALCA001) from 2026, continuing the imprint’s focus on forward-thinking house and techno hybrids. The release sits alongside Egyptian Greyhound’s own Dream Trippers EP (OPIA018, Opia Records, 2025), extending the artist’s exploration of melodic techno-house narratives. Side A opens with “House Of Desire”, a track that immediately establishes a hypnotic groove, setting a mood of yearning that dovetails into the second cut, “Ancestral Pulse”. The latter deepens the atmosphere, offering a more introspective texture that feels like a reflective response to the opening desire. On the flip side, “Peripheral” provides a shift toward a broader, more spacious soundscape, its title suggesting an outward-looking perspective that balances the record’s inner focus. Closing the journey, “Binary Code X” delivers a precise, rhythm-driven finale that feels like a digital resolution to the EP’s emotive narrative. Aetheria occupies a distinctive place in Egyptian Greyhound’s output, building on the melodic sensibilities of Dream Trippers while pushing further into the trance-inflected side of the artist’s palette. Within ALTERA CASINI’s brief but potent discography, the EP reinforces the label’s commitment to releases that blend club-ready drive with atmospheric depth. For DJs, the record offers two versatile pairings: the A-side tracks lend themselves to warm-up or peak-time moments where a gradual build is desired, while the B-side provides a more experimental edge suitable for late-night transitions or deeper set moments. Collectors will appreciate the exclusive vinyl format, which captures the nuanced dynamics of the EP’s shifting moods. The release is pressed as an exclusive 12-inch vinyl, aligning with the label’s “Vinyl Only” designation and delivering the tactile experience that the music’s immersive atmosphere demands.
