DELTA FUNKTIONEN — Stars & Space

Delta Funktionen – Stars & Space arrives on Radio Matrix as catalogue RAM-X-16, a 12-inch techno EP that stakes a claim in the label’s forward-looking orbit. Issued on 4 December 2026, the record continues the duo’s exploration of cosmic motifs through precise, club-ready production. Within Radio Matrix’s recent output, Stars & Space follows the earlier RAM-X-14 Echoes Of Order and RAM-X-04 Black Endlessness, both also by Delta Funktionen, and sits alongside the label’s 2025 IMPROX – Starlit Rebellion 3×12″ from Immediate Proximity. This placement underscores the label’s focus on expansive, rhythm-centric techno that balances depth with dancefloor momentum. Side A opens with “To Space (Safe)”, a track that projects a steady propulsion, its title suggesting a launch into a controlled orbit. The groove sustains tension while leaving space for DJs to layer percussive accents. On side B, “Infinite Bells” offers a contrasting atmosphere; the title evokes a resonant, looping quality that can serve as a bridge between darker moments and more uplifting peaks. The EP closes with “Indra”, a piece whose name hints at mythic power, delivering a rhythmic drive that resolves the set with a decisive, kinetic finish. For Delta Funktionen, Stars & Space arrives after the 2026 Echoes Of Order and the 2025 Black Endlessness on Radio Matrix, as well as the 2018 Space Race EP on Mord Records. The progression from earlier releases shows a refinement of their signature spatial aesthetic, now distilled into three tightly sequenced cuts that maintain the label’s emphasis on hypnotic repetition and precise techno architecture. In the current underground landscape, the EP’s focus on clean, forward-moving beats makes it a useful tool for DJs seeking to sustain momentum in late-night sets or to introduce a celestial theme into a more technical set. Its concise structure allows for easy mixing, while each track’s distinct character provides options for both peak-time intensity and more nuanced transitions. The record is presented as a 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of the artist’s recent output on Radio Matrix. Its physical presence reinforces the tactile experience prized by collectors who value the analog fidelity of techno releases.
