2SOULFUSION PRESENTS, ASCENSION FEATURING DAMES BROWN, DAWN TALLMAN — Shout!

2SoulFusion Presents, Ascension Featuring Dames Brown & Dawn Tallman – Shout! opens the Vega Records 12-inch vinyl VR226 as a house anthem that fuses gospel exuberance with club energy. The record arrives in the autumn of 2026, a season when the label is expanding its dance-floor catalogue, and it showcases the production partnership of Louie Vega and Josh Milan under the 2SoulFusion moniker. With a runtime that stretches beyond twelve minutes, the release captures the moment when a dance floor becomes a communal celebration. Within Vega Records’ 2026 output, Shout! follows the earlier “Mercy Of Time” by Louie Vega & Msaki (VR227) and precedes the later “Soar” by Elements Of Life Featuring Lisa Fischer (VR228). The surrounding releases illustrate the label’s commitment to collaborations that blend soulful vocal performance with forward-thinking house production, situating this record in a line of projects that prioritize vocal depth and rhythmic drive. The A-side “2SoulFusion Mix” unfolds as a sprawling, anthemic groove built around affirmations that echo the track’s title—“Shout,” “Sing,” “Move,” and so forth. The arrangement allows the powerhouse voices of Dames Brown and Dawn Tallman, supported by a choir of seasoned vocalists, to rise and fall in a call-and-response pattern that feels both celebratory and reverent. The mix’s structure lends itself to extended DJ sets, offering a dynamic rise that can be introduced at the peak of a set or used to transition into a more intimate moment on the floor. Flipping to the B-side, the “2SoulFusion Gospel Beats” version strips the composition back to its rhythmic core while retaining the vocal intensity that defines the record. This version emphasizes a tighter, more percussive groove, making it an ideal tool for DJs seeking a punchier, loop-friendly edit that still carries the uplifting spirit of the original. The contrast between the two sides provides flexibility: the A-side for marathon, peak-time moments, the B-side for tighter, groove-focused sections. Shout! occupies a distinctive place in the Ascension project’s evolving narrative, where spirituality, fashion, and house music intersect. The record’s genesis in a Paris runway set inside a cathedral, where the original twelve-minute composition debuted, informs its expansive, choir-laden feel. By translating that live, site-specific energy into a studio recording, the release bridges the gap between ceremonial gospel and club culture, reinforcing Vega Records’ reputation for boundary-pushing collaborations. For DJs, the record offers two complementary tools. The A-side’s length and layered vocal hooks make it suitable for building tension and releasing energy on a main room floor, while the B-side’s tighter beat structure fits well into more rhythmic, percussive segments of a set. Collectors will appreciate the involvement of vocal legends such as Lisa Fischer, Cindy Mizelle, and Rahsaan Patterson, whose contributions add historical weight to the pressing. The release is presented as a 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of recent Vega Records offerings. Its physical presentation aligns with the label’s ongoing series of multi-artist projects and individual artist statements, reinforcing the tactile experience that vinyl provides for both DJs and enthusiasts. 2SoulFusion Presents, Ascension Featuring Dames Brown & Dawn Tallman – Shout! – Vega Records VR226, 12-inch vinyl, two tracks.
