Various Artists – VA02 tHE GANG RECORDS – TG02 12-inch Vinyl tHE GANG RECORDS returns with VA02, the label’s second Various Artists release and a four-track snapshot of the collective’s contemporary club vision. Bringing together tINI feat. Kira, GRD Diego, Stefano Andriezzi and Stckman, the record moves across house, electro, techno and electronica while maintaining a consistent emphasis on groove, texture and dancefloor function. The EP opens with tINI feat. Kira and “BNGR”, a stripped-back, groove-led production built around subtle progression and hypnotic movement. The arrangement keeps its elements deliberately controlled, allowing the rhythmic foundation to carry the track while gradual shifts create tension. It is an understated but highly functional opening cut, characteristic of tINI’s precise approach to club music. GRD Diego follows with “Decision”, bringing a more melodic and atmospheric dimension to the A-side. The Italian DJ and producer draws on new wave, electro and house influences, combining hypnotic rhythm with a more romantic tonal character. The result sits comfortably between machine-driven club music and a more expressive electronic sensibility. On the B-side, Venezuelan producer Stefano Andriezzi delivers “Intoxica2”. Based in Barcelona, Andriezzi’s production draws from techno, house, new beat, synth-pop and EBM, giving the track a tougher and more energetic profile. Nostalgic electronic textures are integrated into a direct contemporary groove, creating a hybrid sound that feels equally connected to underground house and darker machine music. Closing the EP is Stckman with “You And Me”. Based in London with roots in Lisbon, Stckman brings a more melodic and emotionally open approach to the record. The track moves between electronica and pop-inflected sensibilities while retaining a clear rhythmic focus, providing a softer and more atmospheric conclusion to the four-track sequence. What makes VA02 effective is its diversity without losing cohesion. Rather than imposing a single aesthetic across the compilation, tHE GANG RECORDS uses four distinct productions to demonstrate the breadth of its musical identity. From tINI’s minimal groove and GRD Diego’s hypnotic electro-house language to Andriezzi’s hybrid club pressure and Stckman’s melodic electronica, each contribution occupies its own space while remaining connected through an obvious dancefloor sensibility. VA02 is therefore less a conventional label sampler than a statement of intent: contemporary electronic music with room for different tempos, textures and influences, unified by a strong understanding of the club environment.
