About Release
Various – one(15) – Fifteen Years of Acid Test LP arrives on Acid Test as catalogue ATLP20, a 3×12-inch vinyl set that marks the label’s 15-year anniversary. The concept is strict: every piece stays at or below one(15) BPM, yielding a tempo range from 71 to 115 BPM across 13 tracks that explore slow-moving 303 lines, horizontal acid textures and dub-inflected low-tempo journeys.
Within the Acid Test catalogue this release follows the 2026 “380/750 EP” (ACIDTEST021) and the “In A Box (LP 5x12\" Box Set)” (ATLP-TFBOX), both issued earlier the same year, while preceding the label’s next output yet to be announced. It sits alongside earlier milestones such as Tin Man’s “Acid Worlds Part One” (ACIDTEST022, 2025) and the collaborative “Celestial Body Music Part 1” (ACIDTEST018.1, 2022), reinforcing the label’s long-standing focus on acid-driven, experimental techno.
Side A opens with Patricia’s “Rolling Boil (113BPM)”, a track that immediately sets the high-end of the tempo window, its title suggesting a simmering intensity that propels the set forward. Adjacent, Donato Dozzy’s “Acidioma (85BPM)” drops the pace, offering a more measured groove that balances the opening momentum. The transition from A2 to B1 is seamless, as Om Unit’s “Sun In Pisces (100BPM)” occupies a middle ground, its title evoking a celestial calm that bridges the two extremes. Tin Man’s “Flowering Acid (104BPM)” continues the forward motion, its name implying a blossoming of acid motifs that complement the surrounding tracks.
Side B’s C-section begins with Lerosa’s “Rasul Tape (100BPM)”, a piece that sustains the mid-tempo flow while introducing a tape-inspired aesthetic. Katatonic Silentio follows with “Quicksand (108BPM)”, a title that hints at a sinking, immersive depth, pushing the tempo slightly higher. John Tejada’s “Motion Study for Leaves (108BPM)” maintains this energy, its reference to motion suggesting a kinetic undercurrent suitable for evolving a DJ’s set. The final track on this side, “SW. FIVteenBITween (115BPM)”, reaches the upper tempo limit, its title playing on the anniversary theme and delivering a climax before the record turns.
Side C opens with Marco Passarani’s “Atlas Regio (115BPM)”, another peak-tempo statement that feels like a cartographic expansion of the acid landscape. TM404’s “Femton (115BPM)” follows, matching the tempo while its title evokes a feminine or subtle tonal quality, adding contrast within the high-tempo bracket. Higher Intelligence Agency’s “Vibracosm (112.5BPM)” then offers a slightly lower pulse, its name suggesting a vibrating cosmos that eases the listener back toward the record’s lower end. Leaves closes the set with “ACD (71BPM)”, the slowest piece, its title a minimal abbreviation that reflects the deep, meditative pace. The final track, “AAAA Acid X Angel (99BPM)”, sits in the middle of the tempo range, its title combining the label’s acid heritage with a celestial reference, providing a reflective finish.
The compilation functions as both a celebration and a study in tempo-restricted composition, demonstrating how Acid Test’s artists can extract variation from a narrow BPM band. For collectors, the three-LP format offers a substantial physical archive of the label’s aesthetic, while DJs will find the range of tempos useful for crafting long-form mixes that transition from deep, dub-laden passages to more kinetic acid moments without breaking the overall mood.
The record is presented as a 3×12-inch vinyl set, reflecting the label’s commitment to the analog format and providing ample surface for the 13 tracks.
