VARIOUS — Mech03

Various – MECH03 is the third vinyl-only compilation from Méchante Recordings (catalogue MECH03, 12-inch). Arriving on 6 November 2026, the record continues the label’s focus on dubby, bouncy tech house, delivering four tracks that sit comfortably between minimal, progressive and tech house terrains. MECH03 follows the earlier Méchante Recordings compilations MECH01 and MECH02, both released earlier in 2026. The three releases together map a concise snapshot of the label’s evolving sonic identity, each offering a different angle on the same deep-groove, rolling-bass aesthetic. Side A opens with “Dav – Casa At Last”. The title suggests a settled, home-like vibe that the track delivers through a deep groove and a hypnotic texture, setting a warm tone for the side. “Ohara – Lady L” follows, offering a playful contrast that leans into driving rhythms while retaining the dubby ambience introduced by Dav, making the two A-side cuts a complementary pair for late-night sets. Side B begins with “Nizar Sarakbi – Holic T”. The track’s title hints at an obsessive energy, which is reflected in a rolling bassline that pushes the momentum forward, bridging the mood from the A-side to the final cut. Closing the record, “Rossiter – Dirty Bastard” brings a darker, more textured finish, its dubby atmosphere providing a fitting end-point for heads-down dancing on warm systems. Within the Méchante Recordings catalogue, MECH03 reinforces the label’s commitment to deep, hypnotic grooves and bouncy tech house rhythms that suit late-night, warm-system environments. The compilation’s four distinct contributions illustrate how the label curates a cohesive yet varied listening experience, each track offering a different shade of the label’s signature sound. For DJs, the record supplies two solid mid-tempo tools on the A-side that can be layered into warm-up or peak moments, while the B-side provides a deeper, more driving option for the latter part of a set. Collectors will appreciate the vinyl-only format that captures the tactile quality of Méchante’s dubby textures, and the sequencing offers a logical flow from relaxed groove to more intense, hypnotic movement. MECH03 is presented as a 12-inch vinyl release, adhering to the label’s “vinyl only” policy, and contains four tracks across both sides.
