Time Warp, Germany's legendary techno institution, launches its official record label, bringing more than 30 years of pioneering festival programming to a dedicated imprint. The inaugural release brings together the godfather of German techno and vinyl devotee Sven Väth with longtime collaborator Roman Flügel. "Rings Of Light" is a hypnotic minimal techno journey of chugging, spiralling rhythms, ominous organ chords and gravelly spoken word exploring the divide between shadow and light. On the flip, the Knarz Mix ("creak") strips things back to a rougher, industrial edge, with hissing hats, rattling drums and squelchy 303 acid lines.
