SLIT OBSERVERS — The Next Condition [printed Sleeve]

The Next Condition is the new six-track EP from Slit Observers, released on Fanzine Records.Built around ideas of contact, transformation and resistance, the record imagines a signal travelling across space until it reaches an inhabited world. What follows is deliberately unresolved: an approaching presence, autonomous machines sent ahead, the dismantling of an existing order and the emergence of something new.Fragments of voice - "We are the cure / We are the end / We are the signal", "Remove life", "Stop" and "Damage" - appear throughout the record like incomplete transmissions, leaving unclear who is arriving, who is resisting, or whether the process represents invasion, extinction, survival or evolution.Across six cuts of dark, machine-driven electro, The Next Condition leaves the final outcome to the listener.
