About Release
Orlando Voorn – No Doubt
The Dutch house and techno veteran Orlando Voorn returns to Michel de Hey’s In The Future imprint with the 12-inch ITF08, a deep-house record that nods toward Detroit’s soulful lineage. Issued on 25 April 2022, the release pairs a fresh original with a standout Anil Aras remix and a closing cut that rounds the side.
In The Future’s recent output has leaned into the deeper, groove-centric side of house, as evidenced by the later Basement Tracks EP (ITF12, 2025) and DJ Sneak’s Still Jackin’ (ITF11, 2024). No Doubt arrives amid this progression, offering a taste of the label’s evolving palette while maintaining the dancefloor focus that defines its catalogue.
Side A opens with “No Doubt”, an eight-bar groove that builds a warm, rolling bass foundation typical of deep house, allowing DJs to layer it seamlessly into a set. The track’s measured tempo and subtle swing make it a flexible entry point for both early-night moods and later-hour peaks.
Side B begins with “No Doubt (Anil Aras Remix)”. According to the label, this version delivers a “mega remix … with the best strings you will hear”. The string arrangement adds a lush, cinematic layer that lifts the original’s groove, creating a richer harmonic texture while retaining a driving rhythm suitable for peak-time moments.
The final cut, “Rareform”, follows the remix and provides a contrasting, more stripped-back atmosphere. Its placement after the expansive remix offers a moment of release, letting the energy settle before the needle lifts. The track’s minimal approach reinforces the record’s deep-house aesthetic and invites smooth transitions into either deeper or more energetic selections.
Within Voorn’s own discography, No Doubt sits before a series of forthcoming releases slated for 2025-2026, including the Wicked System EP on Trust Records (TRUST048, 2025) and several 2026 outings on Craigie Knowes, Soul Stage, Galaxy Dreams, Lost Control, X-Masters, Haven Trax and Super Rhythm Trax. This timing places the record as a bridge between Voorn’s earlier output and a prolific period of new material across multiple imprints.
For DJs, the record offers a versatile toolkit: the original track works as a solid groove foundation, the Anil Aras remix supplies a heightened, melodic lift for climactic moments, and “Rareform” serves as a cool-down or transitional piece. Collectors will appreciate the concise three-track format that showcases Voorn’s ability to blend classic deep-house sensibilities with contemporary production values.
The release is pressed on a standard 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of the label’s recent offerings and providing the tactile experience prized by vinyl enthusiasts.
