MO’FUNK — Sweet Delight / Fix My Sink (7")

Mo’funk – Sweet Delight / Fix my sink VIP VAULT’s third 7-inch outing, catalogued as VIP003, arrives as a concise disco statement that pivots on dub-inflected grooves. Issued on 16 October 2026, the release continues the label’s focus on dancefloor-ready, bass-driven cuts that sit comfortably between classic disco swing and contemporary club dub. Within the VIP VAULT catalogue, Sweet Delight / Fix my sink follows the earlier 7-inch releases VIP001 “On the One / You Give Me Something” and VIP002 “MO Funk – VIP VAULT 02”. Both of those records established the label’s penchant for stripped-back yet rhythmically potent tracks, and this new EP deepens that aesthetic while keeping the same tight sequencing ethos. Side A opens with “Sweet Delight (Funkyassbassline Dub)”. The title hints at a bass-centric approach, and the track delivers a looping groove that builds tension through subtle dub treatment, making it a solid choice for early-set layering. On the flip, “Fix My Sink (Dat New Dub)” continues the dub-laden vibe, offering a slightly darker tonal shift that works well as a transition piece or a closing moment for a set, reinforcing the record’s cohesive mood. For Mo’funk, Sweet Delight / Fix my sink sits alongside the earlier VIP001 release on the same label, reinforcing a consistent sonic identity rooted in disco-derived dub. The pairing of these two tracks showcases the artist’s ability to craft compact, dancefloor-focused statements that retain a playful edge while respecting the label’s established sound palette. From a DJ’s perspective, the 7-inch format provides a quick, tactile option for inserting a tight, groove-heavy moment into a set. The A-side’s buoyant bassline can spark the energy of a warm-up, while the B-side’s deeper dub texture offers a smooth segue into more atmospheric moments. Collectors will appreciate the concise format and the continuity it offers within VIP VAULT’s early 2026 releases. The record is pressed as a 7-inch vinyl, matching the format of its label mates and preserving the tactile experience prized by vinyl enthusiasts.
