FLOWGEIST — Flowgeist LP

Flowgeist – Flowgeist LP arrives on Evighet Records as catalogue EVIGHET007, a 12-inch vinyl that folds ambient, trip-hop, experimental and pop-beat sensibilities into a single, cohesive statement. The record’s marbled vinyl presentation mirrors its shifting textures, while the release date of 23 November 2026 places it squarely in a moment where genre boundaries are increasingly porous. Flowgeist’s debut follows a conceptual thread that moves from tangible “matter” to the more elusive realm of “memory,” inviting listeners to linger in transitional states. Within Evighet’s recent output, Flowgeist LP follows the earlier releases EVIGHET006 by Healing Force Project and EVIGHET005 by Dave N.A., both issued in 2026, and the 2023 entry EVIGHET004 from Marco Bruno. This positioning underscores the label’s commitment to forward-thinking electronic music that embraces both rhythmic rigor and atmospheric depth, a context that frames Flowgeist’s exploratory approach. Side A opens with “Molecules (Feat. Zainab J Lascandri)”, a track that sets an intimate tone through vocal presence and guitar, establishing a sonic palette that feels both immediate and contemplative. The subsequent “Like A Bug” continues the inward focus, maintaining the close-miked instrumentation while extending the rhythmic cycle into a subtle, looping progression. “Fatal Faith” deepens the mood, presenting a cyclical structure that suggests a life held in stasis, while “The Scarecrow” adds a layer of tension that hints at an erosion of trust. The side closes with “Prophet Of Lies”, a colder piece that reflects on the performative aspects of influence, turning the personal narrative outward toward broader cultural commentary. Side B shifts toward a more fractured rhythmic terrain. “Think U Know” introduces broken beats that fragment the earlier intimacy, opening a space for cinematic development. “Void You Hide” examines political language, its texture suggesting a polished veneer that is gradually peeled back. “Lost Mankind” follows a relationship reduced to proximity, its arrangement emphasizing the sense of contact without connection. The penultimate track, “Crystal Muse”, brings the record’s most forceful club-oriented moment, driven by an extended modular passage that feels luminous and unhurried, while Massimo Capobianco’s guitar weaves through the electronic fabric. The record concludes with “Meaningful Quest”, a reflective piece that turns the act of composition itself into a means of preserving fleeting experience, offering a quiet resolution after the preceding intensity. In the context of Flowgeist’s emerging catalogue, this LP stands as a debut that synthesises a wide array of influences—trip-hop, drum-and-bass, post-punk, breakbeat, EBM, techno and modular electronics—into a unified emotional journey. The record’s progression from bodily feeling to contemplative abstraction aligns with contemporary underground trends that privilege mood and narrative over strict genre adherence. For DJs, the record offers multiple entry points: the A-side tracks provide moody, introspective moments suitable for late-night sets or transitional layers, while the B-side delivers broken rhythms and a club-ready climax in “Crystal Muse” that can be deployed for peak-time energy. Collectors will appreciate the nuanced sequencing that rewards repeated listening, as each side presents a distinct thematic arc while maintaining a coherent overall atmosphere. The release is pressed as a 12-inch vinyl, featuring a marbled surface that reflects the record’s textural richness. The format supports the album’s intent to move listeners from immediate sensation to a more reflective state, offering a tactile experience that complements its sonic depth.
