DARIUS — Oasis LP 2x12"

Darius – Oasis LP arrives on Roche Musique as catalogue RM079LP, a 2×12-inch vinyl set that expands the producer’s deep-house palette with touches of hip-hop, funk and soul. Following the “OASIS (Prelude)” EP, the new album showcases a series of collaborations that blend smooth vocal textures with Darius’ signature groove-centric production, anchored by the standout “Ease Your Mind”. Within Roche Musique’s 2026 output, Oasis LP follows the earlier releases of FKJ’s “French Kiwi Juice LP” (RM039LP) and “Tyber” (FKJ011), as well as the label’s “Back to the Groove” compilation (RM094). It joins a line of recent LPs such as Didi Han’s “I Dream” (RM092) and Dabeull’s “Analog Love LP” (RM085LP), positioning Darius alongside the label’s ongoing exploration of melodic, dancefloor-ready house. Side A opens with “Feelings”, a warm-laden opener that sets a relaxed yet rhythmic tone. It flows into “Equilibrium (feat. Wayne Snow)”, where Snow’s contribution adds a subtle lyrical hook that deepens the mood. “Nothing To Me (feat. Kadhja Bonet)” follows, offering a more introspective atmosphere that bridges the side’s first half to “Material Girl (feat. Lo Village)”, a track that leans into a playful, melodic swing. Side B kicks off with “Ease Your Mind (feat. Devin Tracy)”, described by the label as a groovy dancing track recalling Darius’ early electro-dance sounds, its R&B-inflected vocal line giving it a hook-laden centre-piece. “Winter Sadness” provides a cooler, more reflective counterpoint before “RiseI (feat. Benny Sings)” lifts the energy with a bright, soulful vibe. The side closes with “Grand Large”, a spacious instrumental that eases the listener back into a laid-back groove. Side C continues the collaborative thread: “Feels Right (feat. Dune)” delivers a confident, dancefloor-ready pulse, while “Cherie (feat. Darianna Everetta)” adds a tender vocal layer that softens the momentum. “Faded (feat. Amaria)” deepens the mood with a slightly melancholic hue, and “Sunday” rounds out the side with a breezy, laid-back feel that suits late-night listening. Side D begins with “Can’t Let Go (feat. Flwr Chyld)”, a track that balances rhythmic drive with emotive vocal phrasing, leading into “Imagination”, an instrumental that closes the record on an open, forward-looking note. For Darius, Oasis LP marks a continuation of the collaborative ethos introduced on the “OASIS (Prelude)” EP, extending his catalogue with a broader roster of vocalists and instrumentalists. Within Roche Musique’s recent releases, the album reinforces the label’s commitment to house music that fuses melodic depth with club-ready grooves, echoing the aesthetic of FKJ’s releases and the soulful leanings of Dabeull’s work. DJs will find the record useful for both peak-time and more nuanced moments. “Ease Your Mind” offers a strong, hook-laden centerpiece for a main-room set, while tracks like “Winter Sadness” and “Grand Large” provide atmospheric bridges. The vocal-rich cuts on sides A and C can be layered with percussive loops for a richer texture, whereas the instrumentals on sides B and D lend themselves to extended mixing and creative transitions. The release is pressed as a double 12-inch vinyl, matching the format of recent Roche Musique LPs and offering ample space for the album’s dynamic range. Its physical presentation aligns with the label’s tradition of high-quality pressings that cater to collectors and DJs alike.
