About Release

Acid Pauli – Mystic Meltdown opens the All Is Acid AIA006LP 2×12-inch Vinyl with a sweeping statement of purpose, positioning the new full-length as a convergence of the artist’s techno, house and ambient vocabularies within a pop-inflected, dancefloor-ready framework. The record arrives after the 2020 MOD album and follows a prolific 2025-2026 run on the same imprint, notably the earlier releases Gwar Is Not The Answer (AIA003) and Urwald (AIA002). Within the All Is Acid catalogue, Mystic Meltdown sits between the earlier 2025 debut Den Mahlstrom rauf (AIA001) and the recent Gwar Is Not The Answer, extending the label’s narrative of expansive, genre-blurring house music. The sequence of releases shows a steady evolution from the more experimental textures of Den Mahlstrom rauf toward the melodic, vocal-rich approach of this album, while retaining the label’s focus on immersive, long-form compositions. Side A begins with “Yes, Caroline”, a track that hints at an abstract dialogue with the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds era, offering a bright, melodic hook that folds into the next cut. “Goman (Remix) /w Hani Mojtahedy” introduces a Kurdish vocal that adds a worldly timbre, expanding the record’s emotional palette. The title track “Mystic Meltdown /w Kingdom Molongi” follows, weaving the sampled voice of Kingdom Molongi into a hypnotic groove that serves as the album’s central axis, inviting repeated listens and seamless mixing. Side B opens with “Bombina Bombina”, a kinetic piece that sustains the record’s forward momentum, before giving way to “Con Toda Palabra”, where Lhasa de Sela’s Spanish lyrics provide a lyrical contrast that enriches the set’s dynamic range. “Mann endet” closes the side with a darker, more introspective tone, preparing the listener for the shift on side C. The third side introduces “New Moon”, a track that feels like a nocturnal expansion of the record’s earlier energy, while “Voodoo Lust” adds a playful, slightly off-kilter rhythm that works well for transitional moments in a DJ set. Side D culminates with “Riot Society”, a driving, dancefloor-focused piece that propels the momentum forward, followed by “Mystic Feedback /w Kingdom Molongi”, a reflective reprise of the earlier sampled voice that ties the album’s narrative together. The final cut, “Behind The Fear”, offers a closing statement that balances tension and release, leaving space for the record to loop back to its opening. In the context of Acid Pauli’s output, Mystic Meltdown builds on the artist’s previous All Is Acid releases while also echoing the remix work found on the Pingipung 7-inch KANTE ON ACID (ACID PAULI REMIXES) and the Compost Records collaboration Dançá Dançá T’Manchê (Acid Pauli Mixes). The album’s blend of house rhythms, pop sensibility and global vocal contributions reflects Martin Gretschmann’s ongoing interest in transmuting diverse musical languages into a cohesive, high-energy experience. For DJs, the record offers multiple entry points: the vocal-laden “Goman (Remix)” works as a melodic peak for peak-time sets, “New Moon” and “Voodoo Lust” provide smoother transitions for mid-set moods, and the closing “Behind The Fear” supplies a thoughtful outro that can be looped back into “Yes, Caroline” for a continuous set. Collectors will appreciate the 2×12-inch format that preserves the album’s intended sequencing and the continuity of the All Is Acid aesthetic. Mystic Meltdown is presented as a 2×12-inch Vinyl release, catalogued AIA006LP on the All Is Acid imprint, featuring a total of twelve tracks that span electronica, pop house, dancefloor house and indie house.
